Surprising My Sister with a Trip to Disney?!?!

Surprising My Sister with a Trip to Disney?!?!

Today’s blog is SUPER exciting and something I have been waiting to write about for a while. My sister is graduating from high school this year, and because of everything going on right now, her senior year, like many other seniors graduating this year got cut short. I have been wanting to go on a trip with my sister for a while, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to surprise her with a trip to Disney. We aren’t going until the beginning of next year, in hopes that everything will be cleared up by then! But, I wanted to tell her sooner rather than later so that she could help me plan it. I put together a little scavenger hunt leading up to the final gift and it was really fun, so I wanted to share the experience with you. I will be also linking a video of the day so check that out too if you want to watch how it all happened!

The first step was to wake up bright and early to set everything up. I had clues already made that I had to hide around the house and I blew up some balloons to put around her final gift. If you ever are making a scavenger hunt for someone and you are looking for easy clues, there are A TON of ideas on Pinterest. I wanted to make my clues more personal so I first jotted down some places where I wanted to hide them and then tried to think of phrases that rhymed. Also, it is super helpful to write on the back of each clue where you are going to hide it, so you don’t get them mixed up. I also wanted to get some of her friends involved, so I gave three of her friends clues as well which was a really fun touch.

I printed out all of the clues and glued them to colorful construction paper

When Paige got up, she got ready and I gave her the envelope that started off the hunt. She had no idea what was going on. She found all of her clues that were in the house and then found the clues that were with her friends. When we were out looking for her friends clues, my Dad set up decorations and the final gift in her room.

When we got back home, Paige found her final present. In the box, I put a couple of different things. First I put the smaller box with the actual present in it in a bigger box, just for fun. I got a Disney shirt and Disney Ears. Under that, I had an envelope with a Disney Ticket inside. I got all of this stuff on Etsy. I am going to link all of the shops I used at the bottom of this blog because the products were all super cute and the came so fast. They were also super nice. The shop I bought the T-Shirt from even changed shirt after I ordered it with no issue at all. I would highly recommend checking out these shops.

I got this cute printable Disney Ticket off of Etsy!
The shirt and ears also came from Etsy!

I don’t think that my sister believed that we were actually going to Disney when she opened the gift, and I was so excited to see how happy she was when she opened it. This was such an exciting thing to do and I am so glad that I got to do this for her.

If you have been reading my blogs and following me for a while, you know that I am in college. Obviously, Disney can get really expensive, especially for someone who is my age. I have found a lot of tricks on how to make this trip affordable for college students, and I am going to be making a whole blog about that in the future.

Thank you so much for reading today’s blog! I hope that you enjoyed it! I just finished my May Brainstorm which is where I plan out all the blogs I am going to write that month, and there are a lot of really fun blogs coming so make sure to subscribe for email notifications when I upload and follow me on Instagram! Thank you so much for all of your support. Stay safe!
