Learning About Skincare

Learning About Skincare

For this blog, I worked with my sister Paige! She knows a lot about skincare routines and products. She walked me through her skin care routines, products she uses and shared with me how important it is to take care of your skin. I put a link to all the products that I mentioned in this blog. I learned so much talking to Paige and we had a lot of fun along the way!

All the skin care products you’ll learn about in this blog!

Morning Skincare Routine

In the morning, the first step is to wash your face. The product we used to wash our face is the Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel. Then, we took a cotton pad covered with Thayers Facial Toner and rubbed in onto our face. This product moisturizes and refreshes your skin. After that, we used Mario Badescu Facial Spray. This morning routine didn’t take long to complete, and my skin felt really clean and refreshed after. Also, all the products that we used are well priced and easy to find.

Night Routine

At night, the first thing to do is to take off any makeup from the day with a makeup wipe. Paige and I used Neutrogena makeup wipes. Then, we used the same Mario Badescu gel that we used earlier in the morning routine. After that, we used Shea Moisture Glow Get Pressured Serum Moisturizer. Paige let me know that it feels oily on your skin at first, but through the night, it seeps into your skin and makes your skin feel really soft. The last step to the night routine is to use Vaseline on your lips to moisturize. I really enjoyed learning about Paige’s night routine because there was so much that I didn’t know before.

You can buy Vaseline almost anywhere! At Target, it is $2.49

What is your favorite product?

The product that Paige recommended the most is the makeup spray because you can use it whenever your skin is dry. They even come in travel sizes so you can take it on the go and use during the day if you need it.

How do you know what products will work for you?

First, you need to know what type of skin you have. The 3 different skin types are dry, combination and oily skin. Usually, products that are powdery are for oily skin and more watery products are for dry skin. Once you know what skin type you have, most products say on the packaging what kind of skin they are for and if not, you can always ask an employee for help.

What are the benefits of proper skin care?

Skincare routines will clear up your skin, but if you already have good skin, skincare routines will even out tones on your face, make you glow and make the features you already have even stronger. Plus, its fun to pamper yourself!

Facemasks

Paige uses face masks 3 times a week. The most affordable face mask that she really likes is Que Bella. For this blog, we also tested a new face mask!

Que Bella Face Masks: $1.99 at Target
There are so many different kinds!

New Face Mask!

We tried the Masque Bar Glitter Peel-Off Mask from Target. Putting the mask on was really smooth and easy. We left it on for about 15 minutes before it was ready to peel off. After peeling it off, our skin felt really soft and clean. It didn’t have much of a smell to it, but it did come in some fun colors and sparkles! Considering this mask was only $3, I think it worked really well and was fun to use.

Find what works for you!

Not every makeup routine is going to work for everyone. Also, not every product is going to work for everyone because everyone has different skin. Paige has combination skin, so these products and routine work really well for her. It may take a few different products and routines to figure out what product work best for you.

Signed,

Ashlyn
