Fun Holiday Snacks!

Fun Holiday Snacks!

This week, I tried a couple, super easy holiday snacks. If you read my Yummy Fall Treats blog, (if not I will link it here) then you saw that I made Harvest Chex Mix. I made a different version of chex mix for the Christmas season and I also made chocolate covered pretzels that I have made for many years and they are always fun to make/ Enjoy!

Christmas Vacation Chex Mix

One of my favorite Christmas movies is Christmas Vacation. If you have ever seen this movie, a lot of crazy, random stuff happens. I decided to call this Chex Mix Christmas Vacation because there are a lot of different ingredients in the chex mix, but they all work together. All that you need for this snack is Chex Mix cereal (I like to use the cinnamon kind), pretzels, green and red M&M’s, and mini vanilla wafers.

I also added popcorn to the mix. I like to make homemade popcorn because it is healthier and I also think that it tastes better. All you have to do to make homemade popcorn is let olive oil heat up on a pan on the stove. Then, you add popcorn kernels. Don’t use too many because it will always end up making more than it looks like. After that, cover the pan and leave a little space open so the popcorn doesn’t burn. Once the kernels start to pop, move the pan back and forth. After that, add some salt, mix it together and you have your own popcorn!

This chex mix was super easy to make, inexpensive and super yummy.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

I have made these for a long time because they are super easy and a great snack to give to friends and family. All you need is snap pretzels, green and red M&M’s and Hershey Kisses.

The first step is to line a pan with aluminum foil and line up the pretzels.

Then, place a Hershey Kiss on top of each of the pretzels.

Once you have done this, place them in the oven for 5-6 minutes at 200 degrees. When you take them out, press an M&M into each of the chocolates. It should be easy to place the M&M in the chocolate.

This is another super easy snack and a great thing to give to your friends and family. I always have a hard time melting chocolate, but this is a super easy thing to make!

Thank you so much for reading this blog! These 2 ideas are super easy and a great snack! Please share if anyone you know will like this snack. Also, sign up to get emails every time I upload and follow me on Instagram which is @signedashlyn. As always, thank you for all your support.
