Is FabFitFun worth your money? An honest review

I had so much fun making this blog! I received my first box about a week ago and I was so excited. I wanted to blog about it right away. But, I decided to wait because I wanted to try out as many of the products as I could so that I could give you my honest opinion of the products. Here is what I think.

Lets talk price

To be honest, when I first saw these subscription boxes, I thought they were a little bit expensive. If you don’t know, each box costs $49.99. Or, you can get an annual subscription which means you will get 1 box for every season, (so 4 boxes in total) for $179.99. I have the annual plan. This seems expensive, but when you get a box, you are able to see the boxes total value, which is over $200!

What do you really get?

I thought that I would just get samples of a bunch of products. You actually get full sizes of really high end products which was a really pleasant surprise. Also, in my first box, I got 7 different full size products!

My Winter Box

I was really happy with everything that I received in my Winter Box. The total value of my box was $269.95! Once you get a subscription, you can go online and read about each product you got, and also see how much every individual product costs. I will link every individual product I received if you want to get more information.

First off, every box comes with a small magazine. The magazine includes some inspirational quotes and a little description of what is in the box along with some other information.

The first product I want to talk about is the Drybar Prep Rally Prime and Prep Detangler. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this and cannot express enough how amazing it is. First of all, it smells great. Second, you don’t need to spray a lot of it in your hair in order for it to work, so it lasts a while. Third, it takes all the knots out of my hair and makes brushing my hair a much less painful experience. Lastly, it adds a ton of volume to your hair. My hair is often frizzy and I usually have to either straighten or curl it in order to leave it down. I use this spray when I got out of the shower, blow dry my hair, and that is it. Even my friends have noticed the difference in this spray. I love it so much and would highly, highly recommend.

Another product I love is called Thirsty Hands and it is by Nailsinc London. Basically, it is a pair of gloves that you put on your hands for 15 or so minutes. When you take the gloves off, your hands are super soft. I was really happy because the Winter Box came with 2 pairs of gloves. I really liked these gloves and I think they worked really well. My hands felt really moisturized when I took them off. They are a great product to have, especially in these winter months where everyone’s hands get dry so easily.

In addition, I got LashesMD Eyelash and Eyebrow Conditioner. Now, I am going to be honest, I don’t think I would have bought this if I didn’t have the subscription box so this is why I really love FabFitFun. It allows me to try really high end products at a low price. This conditioner alone is $69.95. Yikes, I know. I can’t really give this a full review because I have only been using it for a week or so. Basically, what you do is put it on your eyelashes every night similarly to how you would apply eyeliner. After about 3 weeks, your eyelashes should grow and become more full. I have long eyelashes, so it is a little bit hard for me to tell, but after a week, I can see a difference in the fullness of my eyelashes so I do think this product is good if you are looking for fuller eyelashes.

To go along with eyelashes, I also got a pair of Battington Lashes: Monroe 3D Silk Lashes. I don’t usually wear fake eyelashes or know much about them, so I gave these to my sister to see what she thought. She said that they felt very light, looked natural and they were easy to apply. She also said that the glue was very adhesive, so the lashes were not going anywhere. These lashes cost $28.00. Here are some pictures of my sister wearing the lashes.

My skin is always dry, so I am very happy that I received some moisturizer in my box. The first one is by LXMI and is called Pure Nilotica Melt. This is $28. It is also 100% organic. You can put this on your face and lips It helps to smooth and nourish your skin. It feels a little different to put on. It starts out as a balm and it smooths into an oil as you rub it in. I really like this products and it really helps my dry skin.

Another moisturizer I got is Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream. This can just be applied to your face and it just makes it feel smooth and refreshed. I really like this moisturizer as well. I’m always a little nervous to try new products on my face because my skin is extremely sensitive and I have had no issues at all with this. This product is $65.00. This is another expensive one but I do really like it!

I have always used makeup wipes, so I was really excited to get a Makeup Eraser. According to the website, all you need is water to take off your makeup. I have not gotten to try this product because to be honest, I have not been wearing a lot of makeup lately, but I am really excited to try it because it is great for the environment and super easy to use! This product is $20 at Sephora.

The last thing that I got in my Winter Box was Ahava Salt Bag. You pour the bag into the bath and it makes your skin really smooth. I’m not going to lie, I was nervous about this because again, I have sensitive skin. When I used it, I only used half a bag to make sure I didn’t have a reaction or anything. My skin did not react at all and it was so soft. I am so sorry I don’t have a picture because I used it so soon, but here is the link! It is $11.00 at Ulta.

Welcome Box

On top of the Winter Box, I got a Welcome Box for joining. This box had 5 products in it and was valued at $162.

The first thing in the Welcome Box is Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffer in Black Orchid. I have not used this yet but I am so excited to because it smells amazing. It is a body wash you use in the shower and you can use it multiple times. This is $16. I cannot wait to use it.

The second thing in the Welcome Box was Moroccan Gold Series Leave-In Mask. Another hair product! This one also smells great and makes my hair look great. It also protects against heat and UV damage which is a plus. I love this! It is $39, so a little bit more expensive than the Drybar one.

Third, I got another moisturizer. Yay! I can never have enough. This one is the Grown Alchemist Hyra-Repair Day Cream Camellia. I love love love this. It smells sooooo good. I know, that seems to be a common theme. Everything smells so great. It makes my face feel so moisturized after using it and I am really glad I got this in my box. It is $49.

Last but certainty not least, I got a cute little makeup bag. This bag has so many pockets and also has a hanger so you can see everything in the bag and make it easy to do your makeup. I actually have a very similar makeup bag, but it is just a little bigger. I am excited to have this smaller one because I am going to use it when I travel. It is the Yumi Kim Hanging Train Case and it is $58.

How does FabFitFun work?

Once you choose your plan, you can either pick to get a box that you customize or one that is customized for you based on your likes and dislikes. If you chose to get it customized for you, you will be given a bunch of different categories, like makeup, or jewelry and you mark how important it is to you on a scale of 1-5. If you don’t want to do this, you can choose what gets sent to you. I like getting sent random products because it is a complete surprise when they come, and I get to try all different things!

Final Thoughts!

I would highly recommend FabFitFun. Once my annual subscription is over, I will most likely get it again. It is so fun to receive the products and I get to try products that I probably wouldn’t have used otherwise. Also, you get products that are pretty expensive and pay a low price. I love FabFitFun and definitely think it is worth checking out!
