Spice Up Your Room

I change up my room…a lot. Maybe a little too much, but I love trying out new ideas. This could be a small change like adding some lights or getting a new picture frame. You can also change your room in a big way like getting new furniture or moving around the furniture that you already have. One change I think adds a lot to a room is changing up the decorations based on the season. Plus, it’s a lot of fun and can be really inexpensive. Here’s a few small decorations I got this fall to decorate my room.

First Stop: Target

Target has a lot of super great (and super inexpensive) fall decorations in the dollar section. I got a couple of little things here. I got a fake decorative pumpkin and a fake gourd to go along with it. I put them right next to each other on my windowsill to create a display. I believe these were $3 a piece. Another thing I got from Target was a small wooden sign that has a pumpkin pie recipe on it. I used a small, clear command hook to hang this above my fridge and it looks really cute.

Second Stop: The Dollar Tree

The Dollar Tree always has lots of decorations for the different seasons. When I went, they had a lot of Halloween along with general fall decorations. At this store, I got a couple of signs to put in my room. I placed one of them on my windowsill and the other I hung with a clear command strip.

Third Stop: Christmas Tree Shop

At Christmas Tree Shop, I got window stickers. I really like these because they are fun to set up, easy to take off and you can design it however you want. There are tons of stores where you can get these and they are really cheap.

Final Stop: The Pumpkin Patch

You can never have too many pumpkins in the fall. I like getting mini pumpkins because you can put more of them around your room and they are also easier to clean up when they need to be thrown away because they are so small. It is also a lot cheaper to get the mini pumpkins and they are great for indoors. I have three mini pumpkins in my room. Plus, it is always fun to go pumpkin picking!
