Holiday Gift Guide #1: The Technology Lover

Holiday Gift Guide #1: The Technology Lover

Alright everyone here we go.  It’s officially Christmas season…which is CRAZY because this year flew by, but also really exciting.  I have never done a gift guide, but I think they are so fun to read.  So I’m going to do a few different gift guides with different categories.  The first one is all about electronics.  So, whether you are stuck and can’t think of anything to get your friend, sister, brother, mom, dad, boyfriend, girlfriend, cousin, neighbor…or you don’t know what to ask for this Christmas, don’t worry, I got you.  There are gifts on this gift guide within a range of prices, so there is something on here for you, regardless of your budget.  I’m excited let’s get into it!

The Technology Lover Gift Guide

Apple Watch $119-$399

I got myself an Apple Watch a few years ago, and I wear it all the time.  I have the Series 3, which is a lot cheaper than the newer ones, and pretty much do the same thing if you want to save some money.

Airpods $119-$199

You know, I always made fun of Airpods.  I thought they were unnecessary.  But….I must say, I’m a big fan of these.  I love that they connect to all my apple devices and that they are wireless.

Nintendo Switch $299-$499

Okay, I don’t have this…but it kinda looks cool, and I know it’s popular, so here it is. I have played it before when I was babysitting, and not going to lie, it was very entertaining.

Ipads $127-$429

Ipads are great for college students since they are so helpful for note taking and they are very portable.

GoPro, Cannon Rebel and Cannon G7x $299-$899

So I listed 3 cameras here for my photography people here. These 3 cameras have 3 different purposes. The GoPro for action, the Cannon Rebel for pictures and the G7x for video.  All of these are pretty inexpensive (in the camera world), and they are all very popular cameras.

Pro Tip!!!

If you are looking to invest in a camera or you are gifting one to someone else…and you want to save some money, look on Facebook Marketplace, Ebay and on the Cannon website for refurbished cameras.  Obviously, be careful and make sure you do your research first, but you can find A LOT of cheaper options if you shop this way. You may even find some cameras in brand new condition.

Electric Skateboard: $179-$259

These things just look cool.  I see them all over Tik Tok and they seem to be growing in popularity. I am sure like anything else, they take a little while to get used to, but I think they could be so much fun.

Hoverboard: $69-$299

This goes along with the electric skateboard, but these also are so cool. I have tried riding one before and they are way harder than they look!

Amazon Echo Dot: $18-$28

I love love love my Echo Dot!  It has a great speaker for playing music which honestly is what I use it for most, but it also has so many other fun features.

Polaroid Camera $49-$99

To be honest, I really wish that I used my polaroid camera more because the pictures that I have taken on it are so cute.  I feel like a lot of us don’t print pictures anymore, so I think polaroid cameras are such a good thing to have.  I also have a little scrapbook I got on Amazon to put all the pictures in and I love it.

Kindle $59-$269

I personally am a big fan of the paperwhite Kindles.  I don’t usually like reading off of a tablet, I like reading a hard copy of a book, but I do like reading books off of the paperwhite Kindles.  I don’t really like buying books because once I read them I don’t know what to do with them.  And then when I get books at the library, I ALWAYS forget to return them, so Kindles are great.

Vlogging Kit $39-$200

If you are buying for someone who wants to get into photography or vlogging, there are so many vlogging kits that you can get.  All of them include different things.  Some things a lot of them have are microphones, tripods and ring lights.

Beats Headphones $79-$229

Along with Airpods, Beats are another great set of headphones.  I have the ones that wrap around your ears and I prefer to wear those when working out.  There are a lot of different styles of Beats too so you can find one for everyone.

PS5/Xbox Series X $500

Okay so I am not going to act like I know anything about this one, because I don’t…but I asked my brother what technology related items a lot of people are asking for and this is what he said.  I am not a video gamer at all…I played Fortnite the other day and lasted about 5 minutes before I got eliminated, BUT if you have any video gamers you are buying for this year, here you go.  Also, it always shocks me how expensive these things are!  AND I was just informed by my sister that the PS5 is sold out pretty much anywhere, so I wish you luck if you are planning on getting this.

Fitbit $69-$129

There are so many types of Fitbits out there so you have lots of options to choose from.  I had one before getting my apple watch and I really liked it.

Macbook Converters $19-$70

Not as glamorous of a gift, but I had these on my list.  If you have a newer Macbook, you know the struggle of not being able to plug anything into your Mac, so they are definitely a helpful gift.

Iphone 12 $829-$879

Again, had to include this one because it is popular this year.  I haven’t gotten a new phone in a couple of years, so I don’t have much info on this one, but it looks pretty nice and it’s Apple, so I am sure that it won’t disappoint.

LED Lights $12.99-$39.99

These lights are so cool.  I love them.  They are really easy to hang up and make for some pretty cool Tik Tok videos.

Because this Gift Guide was technology based, I lot of the products on here get pretty pricey. BUT, I am going to be uploading so many more Gift Guides with different categories so I’ve got you covered, no matter who are buying for. What Gift Guide do you want to see next??? A Sports Lover, A Coffee Lover, Hair and Makeup? I have so many ideas and I can’t wait to share more. I think I am going to start uploading twice a week for the month of December, and do Gift Guides on Wednesdays and regular blog posts Sunday’s. Let me know what you think!

I hope you liked this Gift Guide and I hope it helped you get some ideas for your technology loving friends and family members.

Until next time, stay safe!

Signed,

Ashlyn ❤️
